Directional Atherectomy

Directional Atherectomy (DA) with the TurboHawk or SilverHawk Plaque Excision Systems is a catheter-based, minimally invasive treatment method for peripheral arterial disease (PAD). During a procedure, an atherectomy catheter is directed toward an area of plaque buildup to remove the plaque from the body, restoring blood flow.

Recently, the landmark 800 patient DEFINITIVE LE study showed that the TurboHawk and SilverHawk Plaque Excision Systems provide high clinical effectiveness in a broad range of patients, including diabetics, non-diabetics, claudicants, and those with critical limb ischemia.
